Guess you missed my point (and fact). Unlike Apple iOS devices the vast vast majority of Android phones (and tablets etc) that run Google accounts and apps are NOT made by Google and thus Google has no say over whether the device has a slot or not. That is the *individual manufacturers* choice... >They want to cut off your leg so that you buy their prosthetic device.
