This one is the first in a side series, the second one ("Sword and
Shadow") being published in 2022.
She also started a side series about the Academia, first one coming out
in 2023 ("Shards of Glass"), and the second one scheduled to come out in
May 2025.
I expect "Shards of Glass" will be the next Elantra book I read.

Oh yes, the philosophical space chickens were a hoot. I agree that the
resolution could have been more satisfying, but I enjoyed the novella
nonetheless.

Yeah, I enjoyed this one very nearly as much as I enjoyed Accepting the
Lance.
