IMHO, conoscendo di sfuggia le connessioni con router 4G, tendo ad 
ipotizare un problema di porte chiuse, come scritto in questo articolo

Da quando uso il 4G a me capita una cosa strana, avvio TB, mi connetto 
regolarmente al server News (non so se porta NNTP classica o porta 80). 
Passa un po' di tempo e se provo a caricare i messaggi, non li legge. 
Devo riavviare Thunderbird per tornare connesso.
Comportamento strano che però ha sicuramente una sua spegazione tecnica 
he non conosco.
