It's an okay, light-hearted, series, but there are so mny of these
amateur detectives "help" (i.e they solve the crimes) the police shows
now that it's all becoming too samey. Most of the time I can solve them
before the first ad break.

Meera Syal. She has plaued *lots* of roles and is married to Sanjeev
Bhaskar (the male detective in the "Unforgotten" series and has been in
Doctor Who three times, although two of those were voice-acting roles).

Clips of the same character also appeared in "The Destinations of
Doctor Who" show.

She was also in the Doctor Who audio drama "Peladon" playing Arla
Decanto, and was the narrator in the audio drama "Doctor Who: New
Series Adventures". Plus of course appeared as herself in an episode of
the documentary "Doctor Who Confidential".
