If you get a chance to watch them again they were a lot more graphic than post-code films. In the first few Tarzan films of that era, pre-code, both Tarzan and Jane were practically naked. As the 1940's film era loomed, people started getting really uptight and the "code" became the norm for what was allowed on screen. Jill
