Why do they waste time with this nonsense? Is it just more performative symbolism? Because the Israeli Foreign Minister, while he's still in office, has diplomatic immunity. Jumping through all the hoops for an expedited warrant only to have him walk away is kind of a self-own and only makes you look sad and weak.
