Which should tell you something about what's going on in today's public
schools.

Hardly the solitary outliers they're claimed to be, even you admit it's a
running theme among the modern cadre of teachers.

I could have said the same about my school's ban on heavy metal t-shirts-- so
what?

It was, nevertheless, the standard of the day and we had to abide by it. I see
nothing wrong with requiring teachers to present themselves in a professional
manner. No visible tattoos, no nose rings, no non-natural hair color, etc.
