I finished off 1923.

I guess that’s it, then. Doesn’t seem like that was an ending that would lead
to a Season 3.

So the baby that somehow survived against all odds ends up being Kevin
Costner’s father, if I have it figured correctly.

I kept waiting for that story of the Indian girl to somehow intersect with the
Dutton story but that never happened so I was left wondering why Sheridan
inserted that into the show and what it had to do with anything until my
brother pointed out that the Indian girl's last name is Rainwater, the same
name as the Indian tribal chief and casino CEO on the mothership show, which
means that whole storyline does have relevance to the Yellowstone Cinematic
Universe and she was probably his great-grandmother.

I also liked that Jennifer Carpenter’s character, U.S. Marshal Mary Fossett,
is a real historical figure. The first female range rider in the nation's
history.
