We have 25 ft (~250W) and it is hardly adequate for a two car garage.
(unless you just want to park the car and exit)

We have ~900 "equivalent watts" in the living room, kitchen, etc.
(though they are now LED)  About 1200W in the back yard (halogen;
looking for some physically compatible LED floods)
