I've always said Apple cultivates sheep as customers but I didn't expect that fact to be proven in court documents such as it was earlier this week <https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.cand.364265/gov.uscourts.cand.364265.1508.0_2.pdf> Apple was forced to turn over internal instant-messaging which revealed on November 16, 2021, Apple employees were implementing the "scare screen" suggested by Tim Cook to scare its herd-animal customers into the fold. Specifically, they discussed how best to frame the language of the scare screen for Project Michigan. In point of fact, Mr. Onak suggested the warning screen should include the language: 'By continuing on the web, you will leave the app and be taken to an external website' because 'external website' sounds scary to the Apple customer base, "so execs will love it." Another faithful employee further wrote, 'to make your version even worse you could add the developer name rather than the app name.' To that, another responded 'ooh - keep going.' These weren't random employees, but people who are part of "Project Michigan", Apple's "activities relating to Injunction compliance". <https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=43852145> What's revealing to me is this proves my assessment that Apple specifically cultivates customers whom they can cull into herd animal activities which Apple then profits from - even to the extent of brazenly committing criminal acts. The court ruling clearly says Apple "willfully chose not to comply," and that Apple "thwarted the Injunction's goals". As a result, Apple is now under an active (not stayed) court order to comply (even during appeal). <https://mjtsai.com/blog/2025/05/01/court-orders-apply-to-comply-with-anti-steering-injunction/> What's most revealing to me is not so much that Apple lied, since Apple never tells the truth (except in court, until now), but that Apple initiated a "scare screen" to scare the herd animals into Apple's profit. Why do you think Apple cultivates herd animals who are easily scared?
