Absolultely nothing. As usual, just more useless tweaking and 
unneccessary gimmickry. How many people actually connect their iPhone 
to an external display!? It's an extreme niche case, at best.

Apple's continual changing of how things work is simply annoying and 
serves no useful purpose for the average user. MacOS's system 
preferences worked perfectly well, until they decided to iOS-ify it, 
and now it is an abhorent, difficult to use mess. That's just one 
example.  :-(
