We say the 11th Doctor erase all of his previous incarnation from 
history, all 11 of them, and along with Clara we saw each and every one 
in persons. We didn't see Jo Martin or any previous incarnation of the 
Timeless Child monster, all ten thousand, or ten million, or one billion 
of them. With that many incarnations everyone throughout the universe 
and all time would have known who the Doctor was including the Church or 
the Papal Mainframe, and Matt Smith himself.
