I see a common thread developing here in fandoms; some longtime
fans don't like the modern versions of television shows/movies
they liked as a child. This is actually quite normal. It is
called getting old... and we all know that nothing is as good as
it was when we were young.

Fortunately, Father Time has a cure for this ailment.
