Tu pourrais même mettre "quadrupler", voire "décupler". Quand c'est au 
conditionnel, tout est permis.

Et quand on voit comment aucune prédiction passée du GIEC ne correspond 
aux évolutions de température quelques années après, on comprend qu'il 
faut effectivement le conditionnel.

Comme disait Coluche à propos des "milieux autorisés", « Quand un 
journaliste n'en sait pas plus que ça, il devrait être autorisé à 
fermer sa gueule». Appliqué aux climatologues, ça nous feraient des 
vacances.
