Well, if you want to take the mind of a chanticleer on his midden, I'll 
give it.

'On' et 'about' sont à peu près interchangeables pour ce que l'on pense 
de quelque chose :

     What's your opinion on the multiverse?

     We were invited to give our opinions about the new factory.

On utilise 'of' pour la valeur de quelqu'un ou de quelque chose :

     What's your opinion of him/the book/this comment/his work?

Et 'in' pour une controverse :

     I sought his opinion in this matter.

Voilà mon opinion. Ce n'est qu'un premier jet, car je ne dois pas 
négliger mes devoirs. J'ai des cocoricos à pousser.    ;-)
