Il se pourrait que la table de partition de la clef soit effacée : en
général, la clef /dev/sdb contient une partition unique /dev/sdb1,
formattée en vfat ou exfat ...

Le logiciel parted propose une commande :
             rescue start end
                     Rescue  a  lost  partition  that was located somewhere between start and end.  If a partition is found, parted
                     will ask if you want to create an entry for it in the partition table.

Il faudra peut-être au préalable recréer cette table :    mklabel msdos 
(bien vérifier que /dev/sdb correspond à la clef :)

Sinon, voir ce que photorec peut faire ?
