Oui.

Ce n'est pas une drôle d'idée puisque la confusion entre ß et bêta se
retrouve ici et là : par exemple
<https://les-raccourcis-clavier.fr/lettres-grecques-alpha-omega-delta-epsilon-etc/>
où le soi-disant bêta est un ß, ou encore
<https://www.zesolution.com/fr/technologie/internet/comment-faire-le-symbole-beta-ß-sur-votre-clavier.html>…
