sudo est ton ami, et si ce n'est pas possible, le moyen le plus simple de 
remettre à zéro le mot de passe root est le suivant :

1/booter avec un linux ou un bsd
2/ fsck sur la partition de /
3/ effacer la première étoile de la ligne root dans /etc/passwd
4/ effacer la suite de caractère bizarre qui se retrouve à la place de 
l'étoile dans la ligne root de /etc/shadow
