There are other bugs, but no mosquitoes., because it's 
karst topography and on a ridgetop  The horseflies were't 
bad, more buzz than bite, but my son got some seed ticks.  
In typical invulnerable 20 YO style, he refused my offer of 
permethrin spray on his shoes and pant legs.  His mother 
and I go no ticks.
