Comme quoi, il y a /apologies/ et /apologies/ (je vous laisse deviner 
lequel est en anglais...

Cela me rappelle une discussion que j'ai eue une fois avec une autre 
francophile qui parlait du fait que certains Français disaient "Je 
m'excuse" au lieu de "Je vous demande pardon" pour faire entendre qu'ils 
ne regrettaient rien.

Interprétation intéressante.
