Il y a eu un incontestable réchauffement "climatique" de 0,6 °C pendant 
la première moitié du 20e siècle. Il ne peut en aucun cas résulter des 
changements dans l'enrichissement de l'atmosphère en CO₂ industriel qui 
était trop faible pour avoir un effet. Ce réchauffement était donc 
parfaitement naturel.
Dans le même temps, des publications scientifiques et des rapports de 
marins qui signalent des changements importants dans la circulation 
océanique en Arctique. Ce sont des faits observés, ce ne sont donc pas 
des hypothèses ou des extrapolations.
