C'est un peu comme rapprocher les mots soupe et tableau.

L'intuition fait certainement partie de la méthode scientifique : avant 
d'essayer de valider, ou d'invalider une hypothèse, encore faut-il 
formuler des hypothèses plausibles.

Je ne vois pas en quoi l'instinct aurait à être discuté ici.
