Their enameled pans are made in China. In the 60s, a UK paper analysed Le Creuset glazes and found unacceptable levels of molybdenum, cobalt and other elements. Overnight, Le Creuset changed all of their glaze recipes. I doubt the Chinese give two hoots!!!
