The only time I ever used M$ Office was when I had to at work. I could have bought it for $14 for home use once (company deal) and I had zero interest in it. Just bloatware in my opinion. As for Notepad++, I use Jstar for just about everything. If I wanted something that looks something like Notepad++ I would probably look into Kate (K Advanced Text Editor). But I'm not looking for a Notepad++ clone.
