If you want to reply to something, I suggest quoting it directly, or at least summarizing it accurately. In my experience, semicolons can be confusing for programmers who are new to programming, or at least new to a language. I remember "missing semicolon" being a common error when I was a beginner, but I don't remember it being a real issue any time in the last several decades.
