We're back. Did you miss us? Us being me and the llamas (and the beavants too, but they're staying in the background this year for some reason. DO NOT QUESTION THE BEAVANTS!). The llamas are still recovering from their sore throat, but I expect they'll be better soon; I know you are all _eagerly_ waiting for more caroling. Until then, you'll just have to settle for free games. It's the return of more duplicate (and unwanted DOS?) games, plus a more modern game to soothe the picky. We'll start with the old games first. ----- * Mystic Towers https://store.steampowered.com/app/358220/Mystic_Towers/ Another classic Apogee platformer. Guide grumpy Baron Baldric through a haunted castle. This one utilized a -at the time somewhat unique- isometric view that was actually quite revolutionary for the time. It's a bit more focused on role-playing and puzzling than the earlier "Hocus Pocus", but it's still largely an action game. It's not my favorite, but even back in 1994 I found it intriguingly unique. It's an old game, so no obfuscated keys this time: Key 1: RC6DG-K38XT-V3M6 and Key 2: EEMX7-5G7FY-I07ZZ * Wacky Wheels https://store.steampowered.com/app/358380/Wacky_Wheels/ "Wacky Wheels" was an unabashed "Mario Kart" clone, except you could play it on your PC. Myself, I never really liked kart-racer games but this one was a fairly good imitation. Technically it was superior to what you could play on the SNES; I'm not really able to judge whether it was mechanically superior. Even so, I think it's still pretty fun, despite its age. If you're a fan of the genre and don't mind throw-back games, I think "Wacky Wheels" is worth a look. No obfuscation (and anyway I'm too lazy to try and hide two separate keys) Key 1: XV0N8-KDAXG-8DK53 and Key 2: Y8LPZ-AP2RI-KGFYY * Warhammer 40K: Battlesector https://store.steampowered.com/app/1295500/Warhammer_40000_Battlesector/ Really, whether you like this game or not will pretty 8MCEZ much depend on how you feel about Warhammer 40K.It's a fine turn-based strategy game but it doesn't otherwise stand out in the genre. It's really the setting that 687LA makes it unique, and if you don't care for the grimdark struggle of Spess Mahreen versus Tyrannids, then you'll probably think the game rather average. Anyway, I liked it; I thought it got a bit repetitive near the end, but the sheer glut of Warhammer games probably influenced that. Give it a try. For the Emperor! WZ78H ----- That's all you get today, fellow CSIPGAs! I hope you found something interesting here. Grab 'em before they're gone. Or not. We'll be back tomorrow with more. Yoydee-ho, yoydee-ho, yoydee-ho! Many more games to go!
