What that shows is that Apple's method of finding the version of a program is absurd, in that there is no version of the Apple Maps program, per se. The underlying database must be associated, somehow, with the version of the operating system, which seems strange given it's online & not offline. Has that been your experience also that the Apple Maps underlying database is *different* depending on what version of iOS your Apple device is on?
