In fact, you just reminded me that I bought a USB-c cable to back up my phone's images. Plugged it in, set the Pixel 7 pro to "data" (ptp), and it appeared in the File Manager. I'm running an rsync now. To do that, you have to know where the mount is, which is under /run/user.
