Out of curiosity, I checked the weather forecast for today: 31 degrees C in Los Angeles (87 F) 22 in San Francisco (72 F) 36 in San Jose (97 F) 25 in San Diego (77 F) 50 in Palm Springs (122 F) 44 in Weaverville (111 F) and 37 in your San Dimas (98 F) The closer to the coast, the better, I suppose, at least today.
