I never paid attention buy scrolling down Amazon's laptop selection it looks like $400 is the dividing line although there are flyers on both sides. Some showed 'Windows 11 S' which I didn't know about. I suppose if you were buying a laptop for your grandmother restricting it to only run Microsoft Store apps might be good, knowing Granny won't be able to figure out how to turn S off.
