Water is fast becoming a major resource problem [1]. I suppose I could take comfort in the fact that LA has a lot of rivers to rob before reaching the Columbia, but I don't. They need to ration their water to the point that no one wants to come there, and a lot of residents want to leave. Or invest in really impressive desalinizers. LA might be able to drink the Pacific, but it would take a while. [1] Reviews of /Quantum of Solace/ ridiculed the film for treating water as a vital resource when it came out.
