	This is to announce that rec.photo.moderated is now reopened for
	submissions.

	According to [1], "Rec.photo.moderated is a moderated Usenet
	newsgroup for the discussion of topics related to the art and
	science of photography and that are of interest to the serious
	amateur recreational photographer."

	Please review the "moderation criteria" at [1], as well as
	additional considerations / updates at [2] (that are being
	posted alongside this announcement), before posting here.

	Note that you have an option of submitting your articles via
	email at rec-photo-moderated-submit@newsmod.am-1.org .  Please
	refer to [2] for important details.

	It is my intent to post a pointer to applicable submission
	guidelines to this group several times a year, though no
	specific plan as yet.  Unless there be objections, I might
	also start forwarding announcements of ongoing amateur
	photography contests, such as Commons Photo Challenge [3].
