I actually do have ways to get files into the iPhone > music app, but I don't know how to access those files using the VLC app. In my 64-bit Windows (7 HPE SP1 & 10 Pro.), I use old school iTunes's VLC's iOS app with iPhones (6+ and 12 mini) connected via USB.
