There's no problem wrong with having gay actors or gay characters (nor black / asian / female / disabled / etc.) ... the issue is when they purposely try force the fact ("the first gay actor in a XYZ show") and / or swap an existing character, often in both cases it is simply to tick the box on the Politically Correct quotas. If they want gay / black / asian / feamle / disabled actors and characters, they should create new characters, but Hollyweird simply has almost no creative talent any more. :-(
