I very briefly tried this a couple days ago.  It reminds me of an 
ancient rather poor PC game, I don't remember what, but it also reminds 
me a bit of Pitfall, only way worse.  I gave up after beating my head 
against a dog that survives 3 laser blasts by which time it gets across 
the screen and one-shots you.  Eventually I figured out I could jump 
over it with precision jumping and got to another area, where a robot 
wakes up and one shots you, again your laser not seeming to do anything 
to him, and both jumping, sliding and crouching his shot hits you.  I 
tried checking the other ways, but they were similarly apparently 
impossible. So 1 star, don't recommend.
