When I was a kid, my dad was in the Army and stationed in England for about a year and my mom says we got out of there just in time because my siblings and I were developing English accents. She thinks avoiding that was a good thing, but I've always resented them for taking me away before that could set in permanently. Imagine how much more action I would have gotten from girls growing up in the U.S. if I had English accent!
