XanaNews > Tools > Options > Default Settings > Filters
>Xananews holds a single list of filters, but it allows you to
>apply each one globally, per account or per newsgroup

XanaNews > File > Move Messagebase...
>Your message base is currently stored in the default location
>This is usually the best place for it but you may want to move
>it if this disk drive is getting full
>New Location for Messagebase
>Default Location

*note: there is no sign of any "filter list" in the default message
base folder, and there is no option to create or edit a filter list;
web searches aren't much help either . . . it would appear that the
"XanaNews" newsreader does not work as advertised, because there is
no "list of filters" anywhere to be found, and no way to create one

classic newsreaders 40tude dialog, mesnews, gravity, are way better
especially dialog, because it uses hamster scoring with an editable
plain text file in C:\Program Files (x86)\40tude Dialog\filters.dat

no other news reader is that user-friendly, not mesnews, or gravity

40tude Dialog v2.0.15.1 (2005-2-7):
