No they aren't.

Compare them properly, spec-for-spec (or as close as you can get), and 
you'll find the higher end devices by Samsung, etc. are all similarly 
priced. Most people who trot out the incorrect "Apple is over-priced" 
nonsense are blinkered due to Samsung, etc. also making low end devices 
at cheaper prices, while Apple doesn't.

The reality is, you get what you pay for - those low end devices are 
usually cheaper because they cut corners, use older tech, have less 
storage or RAM, etc.


Yes, buying an iPad (espeically one with an M-series CPU), adding a 
keyboard and input device bascially does give you a MacBook, so of 
course the price is simlar. The only real difference between the two at 
that point is the OS they run and some of the apps they can / can't run.

If the prices were extremely different, then the same people would then 
be complaining about why the prices are different for basically the 
same device.  :-\
