Soyons logiques. Les antonymes d'un mot univoque comme prisonnier
doivent être synonymes.
Je ne sais pas si vous avez l'équivalent de CRISCO en anglais.
C'est un dictionnaire de synonymes et d'antonymes.
Si je tape « prisonnier » dans ce dictionnaire,
je trouve un paquet de synonymes. Et comme antonymes, je trouve : «
évadé, libéré, libre ». Je ne trouve pas « maton » ni « gardien ».
Mais peut-être le mot antonyme a-t-il un autre sens en anglais qu'en
français. Encore que la définition qu'en donne le Merriam-Webster
est : « a word of opposite meaning The usual antonym of good is bad. »

et celle qu'en donne le Cambridge Dictionary est « a word that means the
opposite of another word: Two antonyms of "light" are "dark" and "heavy". »
Ici, il y a deux antonymes différents car dans l'exemple choisi, le mot
a deux sens différents.

Que je sache, « jailer » n'est ni synonyme de « free man » ni l'antonyme
de « prisoner ».
